My favorite piece - price tag - around 100,000 USD... |

Amazing piece, combining the words and images... |
So in line with my determination to see as much of New York's incredibly varied cultural offering this winter, we ventured out to Chelsea to see some art galleries. Strangely enough I have walked and biked through Chelsea and the Meatpacking so often (especially when I still lived in TriBeCa) but it never occurred to me that the warehouses close to the westside highway could house anything as fascinating as some of the stuff we saw yesterday...

Liked the colors of this one and the skull reminded me of Mexico |
Enjoyed the blue bottles a lot but didn't have the guts to ask for the price of this one - not sure I want to know. It's so simple, yet very powerful. I guess it only works with the right space though and who has the space in a tiny NY apartment? You can't help but wonder - who can afford to buy all this stuff? I guess even after one year and eight months into my stay here, I have not even begun to see the accumulation of wealth in this city... Going to one of those fancy gym classes, I keep wondering who can afford to do them a couple of times a week but now I guess these are the poor rich that I was thinking about - now, the rich rich just hang out in some of those galleries in chelsea and buy a couple of pieces just like normal people buy groceries...
I know for sure that I can't afford that stuff! :) Is the last pic the one with the bottles?
