A hiking tour in the amazing Monteverde cloudforest almost made us professional bird watchers. we saw the very rare 'Resplendent quetzal', the king of the cloud forest and many other awesome animals and plants. Costa Rica has almost six percent of the world's biodiversity while it's only roughly the size of Lower Saxony or .03 percent of the world's territory. Fascinating how nature makes this possible and continues to evolve.
