Came across a mexican bull fight on Costa Rican tv yesterday - very cruel but I guess part of the conquistador inspired culture... The torero was cheered on by the masses and the poor animal went completely mad until he finally gave it its death sentences after what seemed like an eternity of hissing the red flag. Certainly not my kind of entertainment and while I knew how controversial yet popular this still is in Spain, I wasn't aware if its big tradition over here...
