Great train ride from Grand Central...

The countryside is absolutely stunning.
Though there were some weird religious groups around.
In the middle of nowhere - slightly concerning...
We made the typical European mistake of telling our host that we didn't need someone to pick us up from the railway station as we like to walk a little. Unfortunately, this being America (and different from NY), there were no sidewalks so we kept on walking on the street. And after about half an hour I asked a lady, sitting on the porch whether this was the right direction to the park and found out that it so happened that our GPS in the form of a highly advanced blackberry technology had led us in the wrong direction. But the lady's husband was kind enough to feel bad for these strange girls from the city that he offered to give us a ride to the BBQ place. Turns out we had been walking in the completely wring direction all along. But anyway, we certainly saw some nice Hudson valley countryside. I want to come back and go cayaking or hiking out there. Must be really nice in the fall when the leaves are turning too...
