Due to a winter storm in ny we had major issues getting out of the airport, the first flight was cancelled and the second one majorly delayed and in the end we got here but our luggage didn't... My dad bought me a new bikini since I had only my purse on me on the plane. Note to self- never travel without hand luggage / carry on anymore... At least should always have contact lenses liquid on me... Oh well, turns out the first hotel we went to we had actually booked a room for the wrong date - but that brought us to this beautiful resort in cancun. So I'm not complaining... The problem is that we still don't know when and if the luggage will get here from JFK and our tour tarts on Merida this afternoon. Oh and the fist fun started in the Marriott at the airport where we found a bedbug on the pillow! We switched rooms but it seems like the trip was jinxed from that point on. But it's all about positive attitude and we're on vacation, the weather is nice- what's not to like. All we need is a checkbook to buy some fresh underwear...
