Washington monument

Apparently there was an earthquake here two years ago and the monument was damaged so they are repairing it.
Still impressive how you can see it from anywhere within the city. I learned there is a rule that no building can be constructed higher than the Washington memorial. Ok, off to exploring this very European seeming city some more... Will definitely merit another blog entry (potentially there may be better pictures available too ;-)
