Was amazing to see the island from the water- I still stand by it. Great choice to move here. And after we had crossed the river and turned around the paddling got a lot easier too- with the current (or rather tide as I learned) you can go a lot faster with less effort. We were in a group though so we didn't end up going too fast. It was still great fun and I would love to do it again. Maybe the return trip next time...
