Sandy Aftereffects still visible in Lower Manhattan

This used to be my Starbucks when I first moved to the city. While walking to Pier 11 this morning, I noticed that quite a few buildings by Water Street, close to the Southstreet Seaport are still not completely up and running.


When we got to the beach in Sandy Hook, the restaurant we wanted to eat at was also deserted. Instead they put up foodtrucks to serve the hungry crowds at the jersey shore...

And this was my building - apparently only parts of it reopened. The Duane Reades next door is open but I'm sure this has been tough for many of the businesses down there....
