About 2 hours away from ny, upstate in the mountains, I realized that my passport was still sitting at home.... Apparently they really check on the Canadian border so we turned around and went back into the city, lost about 3-4 hours an made it to Montreal at 11 instead of 7-8 PM... I guess I owe our driver a drink!
